Blue gradient cat eye

Today I want to show you a colourful eyeliner look, hope you like it :) I decided to use blue but you can use any combination of colours and I think it would look great!

1 - Make a base for your colour using either a white eyeliner pencil or white shadow with a small tapered eyebrow brush or eyeliner brush

2 - I picked 4 shades to make my gradient ranging from the lightest blue to an electric blue on the wing, but 3 shades would also work well with a bit more blending. Frist apply your lightest shade in the inner corner and carefully apply each colour with an eyeliner or eyebrow brush in sections

3 - if you want to make it a bit darker, apply a matte black shadow on the very outer wing, but be careful not to completely cover the last electric blue shade. Blend well and if you want also apply a black liquid eyeliner as close to the lash line as possible

4 - finally, I applied a white eyeliner pencil to the waterline, and it's done! I also thought I would show you what this look is like on different colour eyes (yeah, I own a lot of contacts!) to show that bright colours aren't necessarily just for one eye colour :)

Smoky purple tutorial

I love creating looks like this and adding a bit of colour to a normal smoky eye, here's how I did it!

1: Use a black base for your shadow, I used the maybelline colour tattoo in Timeless Black. After, use a flat shader brush to dab on a matte purple over the whole lid (i left the outer corner just to show you the black base). To pack on even more colour try wetting your brush or applying some Fix+

2: Use your second shade to create a heavy contour in the crease. you can mix and match any colours but for this I used a bluey purple as my main colour (over the lid) and a brighter matte purple for the second shade (in the crease)

3: blend blend blend! smoke the second shade out as much as you are comfortable with. if you find this difficult try using a matte eyeshadow similar to the shade of your skin and blend that into the top of your crease to create a more smoked out effect

4: apply a highlighter to the inner corner and browbone. I used a white shimmery pencil but any highlighter shade will do the trick

5: using a small pencil or detailer brush, apply a matte black to the very outer corner. blend this out again as much as you are comfortable with, it doesn't have to look too traditionally smoky as youve already created a nice gradient with the second colourful shade, so apply a minimal amount of black if you're not used to darker eyeshadow looks.

6: mix a bit of matte black and a matte colour under your lower lashes, again using a small pencil or detailer brush. apply mascara, line your lower and bottom waterline with a black eyeliner, and youre good to go!

I would love to hear what you think,

Stila In The Light tutorial

Hello everyone, today I have a quick and easy tutorial for you using the Stila In The Light palette, but all it requires is a black, bronze, and highlight shade which you can get in most palettes. First I used Ebony (black) all over the lid, and on top of that put Gilded Gold (bronze) all over the lid and slightly under the lower lash line, then finished off with a bit of Bare in the inner corner.

I love easy looks like this, in my opinion it always looks better layering two shades than using one, and if you have quite a defined crease this can look better than the usual contouring eye look.

FOTD: Smoky eye

Working in a beauty hall, I often play with the makeup before or after the store closes or if there's no customers, and today this dark smoky eye was the result of that.

Let me know what you think and if you would like to see a tutorial, honestly I can't remember what products I used for this but I will happily make a tutorial for a similar look as smoky eyes are my favourite to do!
